Securing wires inside tank

I got a BP a few weeks ago, and have been struggling to get the husbandry right ever since (bought a glass tank, cuz I didn't know better). I've finally gotten everything down, I think, except for securing the wires for the thermostat and thermometers/hydrgometer. I know I'm not supposed to use any kind of tape inside the enclosure, but as things are right now there are a few wires inside the enclosure that Marv can and does wrap himself around. They are secured on the outside, but that doesn't keep them from being a little loose on the inside. Any advice you can give me would be great. I don't want Marv to get hurt.

I use velcro. Stick a patch of the rough stuff on the floor (make sure it sticks reallllly well since you don't want it coming loose and sticking to your snake) and take a strip of the soft stuff and wrap it around the wire so it's stuck to itself like a flag.
now you can just velcro it to the floor patch. the snake will be able to pull it loose if it tries hard enough, but you can just stick it back down when he does. if it's under the substrate it will be easier to prevent that.

Other ideas are hot glue guns , silicon (but it needs to cure with the animal housed elsewhere) or low tack painters tape which isn't sticky enough to cause problems.

i currently use the painters tape and velcro. i think they both work great.

I like painters tape for its ease of removal when cleaning enclosure and its quick and simple to use.

Thank you everyone!!! I didn't think about painter's tape, just heard the horror stories about snakes and tape.
