I was wondering how do you put up a website? Can a person learn to do this on their own? If I have someone make the site will I be able to update it regularly.. I don't want to use a freesite, they look kinda cheesy. I just want to know whats the easiest way to get a site up and hosted. Do I have to have my own server? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

Here's what you need...and is perfect for the inexperienced/small web site

    go to http://1and1.com

    Purchase your domain name

Purchase a linux web hosting plan. They are very inexpensive...so this should answer your question, no you don't need your own server...these servers are set up for you...all you need to buy is the space..

They have a web page builder that you can just choose a template and click where you want to add images/text...very easy to do. Ask Joanna or Robin about their experience with 1and1 :gj:

    Hey,
My webdesigner is awesome and very helpful. Check her out at www.moonlitmedia.com and let her know i sent you and tell her to hook you up! She will also host your site, on a server with no problems or down time.
    Hope this helps
