I would keep an eye on it and if it looks like its getting infected seek treatment. Mine got bit on the tail but it is fine now. How bad is the bite? If it is bad you might nedd to hold him down and put some neosporin on it.

Do you have any exotic dealing vets around? If so, take it there.

yes i do have a herp vet, actually within a half mile of my house.its $35 to walk in there though and if i can avoid that i will.the bite is very small.at the time it happened there was a tad bit of blood.it wasnt bleeding but i could see there was a bite.could i use like 3 belts and strap him to something so he cant move.i have knowbody to help hold him so i dunno how to get neo on him.ugh,i guess putting belts on would be a chore too.

Rat bites, hell just about any sort of bite, can get infected very easily. Even if it doesn't look like much on the surface, you could have some nasty bacterial action going on underneath that you won't know about until its face begins to swell with pus.

Suck it up and spend 35 bucks to take it to the vet just in case. (Seriously 35 is NOTHING. I've had to pay 60-70 to just get checkups for one of my herps.

Just put some neosporin on it. I can't imagine you would need to strap him down with belts to dab some ointment on him?? That must be the toughest ball python ever!

Use a qtip to apply the neosporin. Hold the snake right behind the head to stabilize him, then just dab a little neosporin on it with a qtip.

edit : Be sure you are using neosporin WITHOUT pain reliever!
