First Feeding (Since I've had him)

Just thought I'd let you all know, I fed my snake for the first time since I've had him (I shouldn't really say him, because I don't really know the gender, lol) I had been a little worried, because it was a day later then I wanted to feed him (pet store was out of mice yesterday) and I've only had him since Friday, and I heard they'll go off feed occasionally if they're in a new environment. But, all I did was dangle the little bugger in front of him and he latched on and ate it. I'm just curious, is it normal for them to go into their hide after they eat? I'm sure it is, but a little reassurance is always good.

Most of my snakes bite, coil and then drag the prey into their hide :P

Mine bit, coiled, ate, then went into his hide. He likes to be different, like his owner. :P

Yes its normal, they seek heat after they eat to help digest thier food...

The snake will need a good 48 hours to digest without interuption, so hiding is perfectly normal. They expend alot of energy digesting, and are pretty vulnerable. So it makes sense that they hide away.

Actually... it'll hide most of the time, it is the nature of the BP.
