    Acurite thermometer
Of course I, being a manly man, threw out my instruction manual... And from some of your pics I know a few of you guys use these ;)

Was wondering what it means when my humidity thing says "HI" instead of an actual percentage...? That's all it says while inside my enclosure... I cleared the min-max and left it outsie for a while and its slowly going down... started at 67 and moving down to 63 now, still dropping... Does this mean my humidity is too "HI" ? :P

Seriously though... Too high of humidity? or messed up hygrometer :<

When my Accurite says 'HI' it is because the humidity is over 99%.
It's always smart to check the unit by taking it out of the enclosure; which is just what you did. I'd put it back into the snake environment and if it goes back up to 'HI', you need to think about ways of decreasing humidity!!! :)

I put it back in after it read 59% for a while (is my room really that humid? jeez, i should open my door lol)

Now its back in the enclosure and im watching it jump up... 69...79...81... perhaps I should ventilate the top a little better :O

The funny thing is... i'm using a glass aquarium. They are supposed to not hold humidity well, lol

Make sure waterbowls, moss, ext. are away from heat sources like lamps and UTHs.
It could be faulty.. you should see droplets of water forming on the sides of the tank (or at least the hydrometer) at 100%.. cause 100% means RAIN. Haha.

Do you see any droplets anywhere? Is your substrate wet at all?

I am using a clear tupperware container as a water bowl, and there are little droplets on the bottom. Guess I will move it farther away from the UTH (the UTH is on one end, and the water dish is in the middle of the tank)

This tank really isnt an ideal setup anyways. It looks nice, but in practicality its a pain to clean and a pain to keep temps/humidity right.

Making a double tub rack that I will use once i move into my apartment in a few months ;) Saves space and will be easier to maintain while at school :)

    Nice plan!
I donno why the humidity would be so high in your screen tank though, it just doesn't make sense..
I think I've seen a picture of your set-up in a previous thread, which still confuses my mind.
Oh well, a few days won't hurt him though.
