    spots on ball
I noticed several discolored slightly pale scales on my son's ball python- the scales are dry not weeping and look like what an incomplete shed would appear to be only its not a shed.Undersurface of snake appears fine. Fungus? snake is otherwise fine , eating well, not too humid in tank . Should I just wait and see how it looks after next shed ?

Sounds completely normal. Little patches (or singles) of grayish colored scales? It's sort of akin to us humans getting some patchy, dry skin. After the next shed, you'll see those scales return to their normal coloration....and might see a different little patch of off-colored scales.

I just noticed this on my ball, too. I think he's getting ready for a shed (really dull colors, but I've haven't noticed his eyes getting "blue"), but I wondered if was something to do with the shed or if something was wrong with him.

Thanks for asking this question, and thanks JLC for the (not terrifying) answer!!
