    Eating backwards
I fed my BP today and for the 4th straight week he ate the rat backwards. What's going onnn? :O

I switched to rats from adult mice 5 meals ago. He ate the first one correctly, then the second time ate it backwards and struggled for 40 minutes before finally swallowing. Since then he's had 3 more and seems to prefer eating them backwards with a lot of struggle each time.

    Personal preference? lol:rolleye2:

 My corn did that once.
She got so annoyed she stopped and restarted in the middle.. what a dumb one she was.

I've heard that most snakes CAN do it and will. Even if they struggle to do so, usually they get it down. As long as hes eating it and not regurging or anything it's probably fine. It won't do him any harm or anything.

    You've got a butt muncher! :O

Our bp did the same thing once or twice. I mentioned it to the vet when we took her in for her checkup and she said that as long as she gets it down and it stays down not to worry about it.

I really like these forums, so I'll refrain from making comments comparing the situation to a certain unhygienic adult movie maneuver...

My bp seems into the same thing. I just have to laugh at her
