At a week I am not sure if she is still good to go... best way is to just watch and observe.

If you are keeping milkbands and the babes are feeding then you are good.

If there is no milk, the foster mom may not stick with it, and there is a good chance the babes will be very restless... they should keep changing teats if they are not getting food.

Ok, I just relizsd that they are chubs, and I will need them for one of the new balls I'm getting, of to the chamber. Are chubs able to be killed in the Co2 chamber? Or should I just freeze them, like pinkies.

Chubs should go down in the CO2. Just watch and wait longer than usual. ;)

I think of them as fuzzies still. When the eyes open they are pups for me. :P

Pinks - birth to about 8 days of age, they are hairless, eyes closed, ears flat to the skull

Fuzzies - about 8 days to about 15 days, they have a tight soft coat (looks almost seal like to me), eyes are still closed, ears are still flat to the skull

Pups - about 15 days to whatever age you wean at, eyes open, coat is coming in more fully, ears become erect, at somewhere around 20 days or so they will start trying their mother's hard food and water bottle but will continue to nurse off her until they are weaned
