    Post your temps!
    Currently my temps are:
    Cool side
    • 82 air temp
    • 84 ground temp

    Hot side
    • 89 air temp
    • 96 ground temp

His daylight bulb is off right now due to the timer, but when it's on both air temps are warmer by exactly five degrees.

These are the ground temps taken with my IR thermometer.

Its a little too hot in there. My ground temps are 92-93 on hot side, and 88-89 on cool side..... If I were you i would keep the light off all together, I found the light made my enclosure too hot...

I have a 9 month old in a 32 qrt steralite tub. UTH on warmside and a 60 watt infared bulb shining through the side of the tub torwards the coolside (the light is about a foot away from the plastic on the tub.) Temps are:

    Coolside- 82.3-82.7
    Warmside- 84.9-86.4
    Basking Spot- 92.8-93.7
*and humidity usually stays in between 58-62% and then i raise it when he goes into shed by misting acouple of the plants in the tub and it bumps up to around 72-76%

Agreed. You don't need the light and that ground temp warm side is a bit high.

I have 10 different enclosures, but my basic temps are 92-94 warm side and 82-84 cool side for the BPs with ambient air between 78 and 81.

Ditto to that... keep the temps the same.

No lights, just a strip of flex-watt running down each end, with a thermostat controlling each one.

I'm in the process of preparing an enclosure for my first BP. I have a Sterilite 12 qt tub with a Nature's Heat brand UTH (I'd never heard of the brand either but had it from an old water snake tank) on a dimmer. My house stays between 76.5 and 78 degrees, so I figured the dimmer was okay for now. My hot side is dialed in to 94.6 degrees, but I can't get the cool side above 78. How are you guys that are just running UTHs getting the cool side temps up? How warm are your room temps?

Just playing around with a 10 gallon tank, I was able to get 94.6 degrees on the hot side and 84 on the cool side with the help of a 60 watt bulb. But I really think I wanna run a tub until the snake gets a bit bigger (i'm planning on buying a baby, or maybe yearling). Any advice would be appreciated...
