    My first "rescue"
A co-worker came to me, after having discussed how awesome ball pythons were, and said her son was wanting to give his away. He'd run out of time for her, and wanted her to go to someone who would care for her. So of course, I coerced my husband into saying yes.

So today we went to pick up Lucille Ball -- I don't think i can bring myself to change that name... -- and all her equipment. Even being in shed and wearing the remnant of her last one, I could tell she was gorgeous! I was told she was maybe two or three years old, and had eaten well up until around Christmas last year. She even came with her own (now rather large) mouse.

I kept all her stuff set up relatively the same way it had been, just to ease some stress. Come Tuesday she'll be getting the tub works, like everyone else. :)

Here are a couple pictures. I know it's not an ideal set up at all (we also took them before the thermometer was put it, to answer that), but remember, it's temporary. :)

I got some updated pictures today. I had to help her shed (man she does not like the water!) and was eager to look at her new skin. It's even better than I'd thought it would be!

This shows her wonderful white sides, and her size. For comparison, my husband Jason is 6'3".

This is one shot we got outside. She's so washed out here... the first picture shows her color better. You can see a lot of her neat pattern though.

A better shot of some of her pattern, and the white sides. Almost reminds me of a Calico...

And this has to be my favorite! After an apparent 6-8 month hunger strike, and a long, graceful hunt, Lucy decided to eat a small rat. On my first try, even! I was soooo happy. :)

I'm going to leave her to digest for two days, and then she's going into her tub, which will eventually go into the rack we're going to build. :) Hope you enjoy these! I think getting her for free was the deal of the century. :D
