    Smartpak plastic tubs?
I came home from visiting NERD yesterday and my head was absolutely FULL of visions of snakes and which ones I *need*. So my mind was brewing about tubs and racks and how to make some and what would be best. I also had four sweet ratties that needed housing for the night as the enclosure I thought would work was escapable.

I thought I'd stick them in a rubbermaid tub for teh night and go get something more comfy in the am when I glanced at my smartpak tubs. These are plastic drawer type tubs that come with equine supplements. They are pretty handy. I never use them for my equine stuff, because they take up too much space in the feed room. So they were housing crayons and markers and paper. And glitter.

Well, we drilled some holes in the front for air and made a cozy little home for the rats. I am not sure how to keep it secure and was thinking of converting them for SNAKES. Right now the rats cannot get out but I think basenjis could get IN which has to be prevented.

Does anyone have ideas for converting these tubs for snakes and rats? Is it possible and feasible or should I buy something better? I'll go take a photo and post it.

    Ok, they look like these:

They are individual sliding drawers. 15 and a half wide, nineteen long, eight deep.
