    Well today i went in to put my probe back in the right spot and then i went to pick up my bp which i probaby shouldnt have done because i just picked him up sunday, and he just ate yesterday. But i just wanted to be sure... is that the reason he is probably striking at me he did it 3 times and the i just left him alone... really dont wanna get bite lol

    Also he is not using his hides he used them the first day but now he wont use them.. the temps are 79-84 cool side and 90-94 warm side i dont no y but he doesnt seem to want to use them

    Sunday should be fine if you leave him alone.

    Not using a hide is also a sign of possible stress.. Don't worry about it.

    When I first brought my snakes home, they were strike/hiss happy lol. They are nice and mellow now:gj:

    i wouldnt really worry about him to much, just leave him alone for a little bit...

    there is obviously a reason he wont use the hides, and you really cant force him =]
    just make sure his temps are good.... my smaller male hasani stretches out after he eats...

    how long before they stopped striking and hissing after bringing them home?
    my new spider hisses at me when i try to pick her up (i was changing the newspaper in her temporary/quarantine tub)but hasnt tried striking yet (im sure she will though) i just brought her home sunday from white plains.

    I like to give new snakes at least a week of no interaction between them and me... only time they see me is in the evening when im peakin in their tub to check on them...
