Hip-Hop Dance recital (proud Mama)
Hi ya'll! Yesterday my kids had a dance recital. It was the cutest thing! Yeah Im slightly biased ;). Anyways I thought I would share.
It was their first dance class (Begining Hip-Hop) and they both gave 100%. My daughter Megan is 10 (she's been in cheer for 4 years - now she wants to start taking dance too :P) She's the cutie on the far left of video in the back row (the tall one). My son Tyler is 8 (He's in his 4th year of football - he took the dance class for balance & footwork). He's easy to spot, he's the only boy in the group & the dance school for that matter. Plus it's kinda hard to miss that mohawk
Hope you Enjoy...we did :D

Yup you sure do... That's my son. He wasn't all to thrilled about being in a dance class, but he still gave 100%. At some point in time most football players end up taking a dance class or two to help with balance and improving their footwork. He wants to be QB so he could usr the help ;)

Your son should be proud that he is willing to do what it takes to get good at what he wants to do (football), instead of worrying about the stereotypes about boys taking dance. Those stereotypes never stopped girls from swooning over the likes of Patrick Swayze anyway. ;)

BTW, I used to live in Aurora, Illinois ( I got married in St. Charles back in 2000 )

He eats, breaths & lives for football and does whatever he can to improve himself. He wasn't thrilled at first, since he was the ONLY boy, but in the end he said he had a good time. Which IMO is all that matters.
