eggs dimpling on day 27, is this ok?
my temperature is 89-90 and humidity at 81% so is it normal for eggs to dimple so soon and at these levels? oh ya its only one egg in one clutch out of six. please help... thanks!

Probably be ok as long as they don't collapse too bad. BUT, no, it isn't normal. You should probably try to get that humidity up some more.

its only the one in all my clutches, so would you say that the egg may be dehydrated?

Yes, if it is dimpling that soon, it is losing moisture. As long as its not extreme, it probably won't be a problem. But to be sure, you should try to raise the humidity in that tub. A little more water, and check to be sure it is well sealed.

thanks for the advice. the dimpling isnt too bad so im not too worried. i poured a little water in the vermiculite, mixed it in and covered the egg a bit with the moist substrate. should the egg eventually return to its original shape after rehydrating? how long should this take?

If you get that humidity up enough, the egg may fill back out. If not, it'll probably still be ok. The main thing is to prevent further collapse. I had a clutch that I couldn't seem to get the humidity high enough, and all the eggs in the clutch collapsed more than they should have. I cut the eggs a couple days ago, and the snakes were still alive and well. They should be coming out any time.
Have you candled the eggs? Are you sure that the one that is dimpling is fertile?

i candled the dimpled egg and it still has bright red blood vessels. i think it should be fine especially since i bumped up the humidity.
i also gave it a tiny mist of water and then kinda mixed vermiculite on the egg to wipe it off. its not wet or anything i just thought that might help.
