    paper towel substrate and misting
alright so i have ten baby balls in tubs, substrate is paper towel which i check every day to see if its been soiled, if it has (or even if its wrinkled too bad) i change it (hey i figure if i dont like to sleep on wrinkled unstraightened sheets they might not either haha) but my humidity is low. we have the snakes in the computer room so a humidifier is out of the question, and i mist daily. i sterilize the tubs once a week. am i cleaning enough so that the snakes dont have mold in their tubs or any bacteria? or should i find a different way to humidify their enclosures? (if this question has been asked and answered already i apologize, but i couldnt find any info!)

    thanks for the help!!

If you are cleaning it as much as you say you are, I wouldnt worry about it.

Not to cause alarm, but I would worry about wet paper towels and feeding though.

I think Adam (8ball) did a thing about a snake that had injested paper towels??? anyone confrim this?

Maybe try spaghnum moss(sp)? I read that some people liked to add that to their snakes environment during shed to naturally boost the humidity a little bit.

You could try adding a tad of that around each of the hides, or placing your water dish more over the UTH to evaporate more water.

yeah i was thinking about sphagnum moss, but i read somewhere else that it poses alot of bacterial problems, but i might just put it in there during shed time, like you suggested, all i had read was ppl that had sphagnum in there constantly. thats a great idea actually, moss just during shedding. thanks!

I remember Adam mentioning this in another substrate thread as well.
