My new babies are here!

So I ordered a pair of het albinos from Raul at West Coast Jungle. They got here this morning, and they are beautiful! Neither of them tried to bite, they just looked around until I took a picture and put them in their tubs.

The names require a bit of an explanation. I was poking around a chatroom, asking for name suggestions. One of my friends demanded I name them Maru and Mari. Slightly confused, I soon learned that "Maru Mari" was from the original Metroid game, what we now call the "morph ball" ! It was too perfect. :D

So here they are. The pictures were taken on the t-shirt that was sent with them.

For being clutchmates, and approximately the same size at birth, Maru is -big-! :D

Nope! Just a giant West Coast Jungle t-shirt. And I do mean giant! I could wear it like a dress. :D

It's been a week, so I whipped out the camera, handed it to Jason, and we tried to get some better pictures of the little ones. :)

The girl, Mari, seems like she's going to be the shy "don't mess with me" type. She didn't try and strike at us or anything, but she refused to uncurl. We only got one decent picture of her.

Maru, the boy, however, seems to be adventurous and curious. He was more than happy to pose for us and sniff our faces a little bit. :)
