    Is the vision Model #221 (dimensions 28" wide - 22" deep - 12" high) good for the rest of a male bp's life? To live comfortably that is..? Thanks.

    Guess it would depend on how big your male gets. Most males are small but I 've seen some large ones too.

    I have 5 of that model vision cage my 3000 gram girls are just fine in them.

    sounds like I'll probably go ahead and get one...is a rheostat/thermostat really needed to monitor if you opt for the heat?

    Go with a thermostat not a rheostat. Ranco and Johnson are good yet affordable. I have 3 Vision cages and they are great. I only use them for quarrantines now because I have several rack systems. I roll up some newspaper over and under where the door is so they dont wedge themselves in that grove and then you cant get them out when you want to. I use newsaper for a substrate and it works fine. If you have a hard time getting the humidity up I tape up the metal grid/air vent(from the outside) until it holds in enough moisture

    I think I still have a Zilla thermostat or something...why not a rheo?

    im just not a huge fan of thermostats because the propes can come off...
