Re: Here we go again......
There are still a few things you can try.
- Put them in a bag with a rat put and leave them over night
- Take them for a car ride. I have had this work for me before more than once.
- Move them to a super small tub and leave them be for a week then leave a rat pup or P/K mouse in with them over night.
If they have eaten for you once they will eat again you just got to find that animals button to push.
Re: Here we go again......
i had a het pied that didnt eat for 6 weeks. i gave him a gerbil, he took it. then after a week gave him some mice..
alot of people say dont feed gerbils cos they get addicted to it or something like that. plus they are aggressive but,i am too paranoid not to take that chance.:rolleye2: dont wana wake up with a dead snake..
Re: Here we go again......

Not to get to off topic but that Mojo started eating like a champ for like 8 weeks then poof back to once every three weeks I did a video not long before she went back off it out on youtube. I need to do an up dated video of her. She is still around that 700-750 grams range she just don't like food.
Re: Here we go again......
I had good success getting a faster to kick back in after I switched him from a 32qt tub to a 15qt tub. Of my 3 that fasted this winter 2 started eating a few weeks ago and my het albino male is still off feed. I think patience and weight monitoring is the way to go. They will eat again; usually they come back with avengance.

when your mojave goes off feed do you do anything special to entice it back to feeding again? because i have a semi-same problem with constraddiction regarding a male pastel. he eats one adult mouse a month. he looks very skinny. a mid 07 and he weighs 260grams empty. do you still do the things you suggested or do you just wait and try every week until she feeds again?
Re: Here we go again......
How big are these snakes that are not eating? If they are adults then I wouldnt worry to much about it. If heat, humidity and all the rest of that is good. They might just have breeding on their mind. I had a baby that didnt start eating for 4 months and hes fine now. I too tried everything and nothing worked. He ate when he was ready. Also had an adult female go off food for almost a year. One day short of being a year. She ate when she was ready.
As long as they look good dont look to skinny or sick looking just keep trying once a week. If you want you could take them to a vet to see if they are sick or something. My oldest male only eats a large rat once every 2 months. I try to feed him every week he just doesnt eat. He doesnt look skinny or sick looking hes 17 years old. I got him in 93 and he was atleast 2 years old when I got him. Like said if they look ok just stay at it try once a week. Try not to bother them to much. If they are not sick or anything they should eat when they are ready.
