    Uh Oh... here I come!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's true. We now have a leo in our house! A friend of mine has had it for a year or so and says her kids have lost interest - she also has 7 or 8 dogs and works full time. So the leo is on "loan" - not sure if it's temporary or permanent yet.

I saw the thread on sexing your leo and think Puffy Tail (as my son has christianed her - she was nameless before) is a girl.

She came in a 10 gallon tank with a fake plant, sand, a water bowl (with rock for crickets), a UTH, a heat lamp, lid with clips, and a bowl of cricket food. I have added a small branch, a rock (both sterilized in oven), and fake scenery picture behind the tank. She seems to like perching on the rock to see the room better. I will add a humid hide, temp/humid gages, and change the water bowl for a larger one. Any other recommendations?

Question: I have a temp/hydrog. from the black rat snake rehab. Do you think wiping it down with vinegar and putting it in the freezer for 5 hours (it showed 14 degrees) is enough to kill any harmful bugs so I can use it in PT's tank? If not, what can I do?

Thanks for the great care sheet as usual, BP.net!

I didn't see it in your list, but my leo makes good use of her regular hides when she is not using her humid hide. I have one on the cool side and one on the hot side. I only use a UTH (with a thermostat), I would think that a UTH and a heat lamp might be a little much. Also put in a little dish of calcium for her to have at all times also (I use a top of a plastic milk container).

Good luck with your leo, hopefully she becomes a permanent resident:)!! We love ours, very interesting, amusing, and cute!! One of the only reptiles in my house that my husband actually likes, which is good..... he won't touch my snakes :(:(. Hey and where are the pictures;)!!

Thanks, all! Pictures will come once I get around to charging my camera battery. Don't fret.
