Rats... the tireless foster parents...

I took this pic tonight. I was going past the rat room and figured I would have a peek as I had re-introduced a female ASF to her birth colony and wanted to make sure she was doing OK and I caught this image.

I love catching a rat asleep with teet leaches.

As much as I love what great parents they are, I love the odd "oh god I hate them" looks they give as well.

This is my female Cassandra with her foster litter of ASFs... looking like she would rather be anywhere else in the world.

Awww, poor girl! She looks miserable with the little leachies. :P

That is a fantastic picture! I would definately frame that one and hang it in the rat room!!!!

The rat room is a big closet thing... might be hard. But thanks it is a cute pic.

I was thinking it would be a good greeting card... something to the effect...

"Life is hard. Everyday it is breathe breathe breathe..."

98% of rats on weigh scales go to heaven... fortuneately Kirsten Dunst was one of the blessed 2% and went on to a breeding career...
