Feeding Q.

i tossed a rat in today for the retic. He resisted at first, but soon took to it and killed it. He then left it, and hasn't eaten it. He didn't feed last week either due to being in shed.

I was just wondering if it is ok to leave the killed rat in there over night to see if he eats it.

Don't know why Retics do this, but I've had them do it before.

Offer the dead rat of tongs again...Give a little tug when he takes it so he thinks it's alive still...Should eat it the second time...

yeah he's been a little confusing. After i first got him he fed great for a few weeks. The past few weeks he doesn't want to eat it, but he'll sure kill it. i tried putting hides back in, and covering the enclusure. He has also been amazing when it comes to handling. I use the hook to get him out of the tank, and from there he is just a little teddy bear. The feeding is the only problem i'm encountering.

He's eating! Thanks for the help. I just tossed a new one in since the other one was a little stiff.
