Can size determine sex at a young age?
Hello,
I purchased my ball python from an expo on April 13th. He was purchased as a male but the breeder couldn't pop him so the gender was unconfirmed.
He is close to nine months old and is about 39" and 702 grams(he ate two days before i scaled him). I've heard that the males only get to around 4 feet and the females longer. I was wondering if my snakes size at this time could be any indication of sex?

No it cant. Some males get to 5+ feet and very heavy. Take it to a herp vet if you can or find someone close to you that knows how to sex a bp.. Good luck:gj:

Well, gender is a social construct but sex can be determined right out of the egg. I can't understand why he was purchased as a male if the snake was not popped or probed. At any rate, a vet will be happy to help with determining sex!
Sounds like you purchased a snake and CONGRATS!!!! We love pictures around here so please feel free!!
What does it mean that you scaled him???
EDIT> Ohhh, duh...putting him on the scale.... d'oh!

What, your's is 39" mine is 3 years and only 31", i have only had him for 5 weeks though, the other owners fed mine only once every 3 weeks, any way sorry to get off topic but i dont think you can determine its gender that way.
