    Help with egg ASAP
I have a 4 egg clutch in the incubator. One piped this am. 3 of the eggs are dimpled and the 4th is like a ballon. It not dimpled at all. The snake looks fine because I can see him moving around when I candle. What should I do, leave it alone of cut it. It looks like if I cut it it would explode! LOL Please give me some input on this egg.

If one egg is pipped, I usually feel comfortable cutting the eggs. Others think you shouldn't ever do it. I think(My opinion, not based on any scientific studies!!!) that some eggs absorb more humidity than others in the clutch, so some are more dimpled, and some are more "plump".
If the snake is moving around good, you could wait a while. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
AGAIN... only my opinion based on the FEW clutches I've hatched.

I agree...if one has piped, you can cut the others. One year I had a carpet clutch where all but one egg was dimpled....I even had eggs that were half 'deflated' and would have sworn that they werent good....well in the end all but one egg hatched...the one that didnt hatch was the one large plump egg. When all the other eggs had hatched, and this one hadnt, I slit the egg and noticed a fully developed hatchling, but he wasnt moving :weirdface So I pulled him out and he didnt make it. For some reason he did not pip himself and was unable to exit the egg...I feel if I would have slit the egg he would have made it....

....so I guess from my previous experience...help the lil bugger out! :) :gj:

And Congrats on the clutch! :salute:

Incubating at 89.7*. 2 clutches in there, 1st clutch piped at day 53. This is day 54 for clutch 2. One piped but the concern is the egg that has not even dimpled.

Slit it. Like I said earlier, I lost a snake in an egg that never dimpled. It was almost too hydrated and the hatchling never got out and drowned :(

    SO CUT THAT EGG!
    CUT THAT EGG!
CUT THAT EGG! (Peyton ha)
