Ok ive heard about feeding dog food so what about cat food, might be a dumb quesiton so take it easy on me. :D

Not a good idea. The protein is super high... not good for rats at all. Cats are 100% carnivores, rats are omnivores, needing some animal proteins and fats, but also need grains and plant matter in their diet as a majority.
In short, the rats digestive systems are closer to dogs and humans way more than cats.
