    Bathing rodents.
Should you bath your rodents? Does it make a difference? Will it effect there smell? I don't want my male to be introduced after a bathing, and smell like a new rat, and be attacked. Just another dumb question!:D Oh yeah... who does bath and how often?

Nasty. Wet rodent doesn't sound like it smells good.

In general you don't have to. I do choose to wash my boys once in a while, but they are also the ones that live in my living room. If I choose to bathe my breeder males, it's for when they are really dirty.

From my experience with wet F/T, it doesn't.

It gets bad when you can almost taste it after feeding for a few hours....

I dont think it will be the same. The frozen ones are nasty anyway( I feed wet ft) but a wet live rodent that is not dead?

I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere near as bad. However, I suppose it would change depending on what you feed them.

I bought some new breeders and they smelled like death! So I gave them a bath and it got so mutch better! Okey, wet rodent is way worse than wet dog, but I got rid of the urinesmell they had before.

I bathe my rats when they need it. I use either Dawn or that lavender Johnson's baby shampoo. Also use a soft bristled toothbrush to scrub their back and tail. Gets the buck grease off the boys if they have it(rarity) and gets their tails really clean.
