Candled Egg, Snake Pattern
So, I'm on day 49 of incubation of my first clutch ever. I'm getting a little dimpling on my eggs. Since incubating has made me a total freakjob (wait that's nothing new), I candled them (again) and I can definitely see some stripes and pattern.
Can you more experienced breeders make an educated guess on what type of morph may be inside the egg when you candle them?
Just curious.
I'm off to press my nose against the incubator again.
Re: Candled Egg, Snake Pattern
I think you can, I have a clutch at day 53 and I can tell one has a spider pattern. I could see the barbed wire pattern -almost a stripe. It has a couple spots too, so I'm hoping it is a bee like dad!! ;)
The only other pattern I see looks more like normal alien heads.
Re: Candled Egg, Snake Pattern
if its a pattern morph yes you can... color morphs are harder
Re: Candled Egg, Snake Pattern
I've been able to identify spiders very easily when candling... pastels were a little harder though... I'd assume others such as albinos, pieds, super cinnies, etc would easily be identified as well...

Bristen.
