Got Poop

Ok ...
I keep my cages clean and pick up after my snakes. Its something I have to do ..and I love caring for them.
But recently.. they seem to have gotten into this habit of going for their poops OUTSIDE of their cages. Not only on me .. but in my couches... its not that bad since I have couch covers so we let them crawl in the cracks since I know that cant actually get into any trouble... but this is where they like to poo. Its becoming a regular occurrence. Its not even like we keep them all day or anything.

Does this happen to anyone else? lol

LOL they are a bit like that sometimes. My lil guy did that once and I never allowed him back on the couches... I have no covers on them =/

But what he really loves to do is to go potty or pass urates minutes after his enclosure has been cleaned and his substrate has been changed... :S

how often does your snake poop or do his business? > how often do you have to clean/change the substrate?

I spot clean about every 2 days and Furio usually goes #2 every 4-6 weeks. But when he does good god. It's like he crapped out a little alien!

some, just poop when you pick them up.
one of my balls poops almost everytime i pick him up, or right when i set him down....

its a pretty common thing...
so what i do is hold them for a few mins, and then put them in there cage for a few mins then pick them up, and ussually they poop before i pick them up again...

With all this pooping during handling it sounds like they should be colubrids...:8:

haha yes, my corn does, but normally its just pee...

*dies laughing* Oh wow, I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one. I once had one pee while I was carrying her down the hall...

...she got the walls....and the carpet...and the door....and the table her tub was on...and me... :oops:

What is with all of your balls pooping everywhere? :confused: Never been pooped on from simple handling...

haha. seems like everytime my snake craps its either on me or something important. but never in his cage. i guess outside his tub is his bathroom. i would never poop in my living quarters. lol
