my BP saw my boa!
Well, quarantine is officially over for my boa :gj:
so I stacked the two cages and life is good.
Today I took the boa out of his cage, which is underneath the BP cage.
I stood up and looked into the BP cage to find him with his head extended out of his hide, looking at me with interest.
I slowly raised the boa into view outside the BP's cage....
*POOF*! My BP retracted his head faster than I have ever seen him move in my life! He literally went into a full ball for the first time ever!
I guess the sight of the other snake scared the pants off of him, poor thing.
Needless to say, I won't be putting them together for any handling or photos or any other reasons - nor had I planned to.
However, it looks like I should be careful with lines of sight as well when I have one or the other out.
Anyone have their BP react strongly to the sight of another snake?

Re: my BP saw my boa!
I haven't had my boas for over a year yet, so they are in a different room from my balls.....

Re: my BP saw my boa!
One of my new corns came face to face (through the glass) with my cat one day and he didn't come out of his hide for two weeks. Now he could care less.

Re: my BP saw my boa!
The first time our ball saw our boa, she froze and tongue flicked for the longest time...saw as in I was holding the boa across the room from the ball's cage, hehe...
They don't seem to care now..."hey, if you're not gonna eat that..."
My corn sometimes freezes if he sees the burmese slithering in his cage, but then the burm has that effect on a lot of people. :D
