I wouldn't want to expose them to a known pesticide. If possible I would move them to another room until the smell had cleared out a bit. (unless it's some kind of bait type of thing)

I have an exterminator that sprays every month for bugs, and I won't let him in my snake room. I'm just a bit paranoid about that kinda of stuff.

same here, paranoia is striking deep.the whole basement is being sprayed so i would have to either move it upstairs and that will be a last option or would towels over the tank work?here is why i really dont feel like moving it upstairs

Is it some type of fogger or does the spray have any warning about other animals? Do you know what chemicals are going to be used?

I know that dragging all that upstairs would be an super pain in the butt, but I would probably do it myself just to be on the safe side.

bifenthrin is wat we are using.it says use caution around aquatic and reptiles.more paranoia!its not a fogger though its a stream.i usually spray the cieling along the walls and the floor around the walls.if i skip about 5 ft on both sides will i be ok if i cover the tanks?

Be very very careful. We lost two guinea pigs because their bedding got sprayed by the pesticide and it wasn't a pretty thing either ... it almost seemed like a neurological problem where they slowly lost function from the back to front. Needless to say my snakes are in my room and that room does not get sprayed and any bedding goes straight from its source to my room. I actually just saw a very large brown recluse spider in my room but I'm willing to run the risk of getting bit by one because I will not have my room sprayed.

If it specifically addresses reptiles, I would move them. It's not worth the risk of neurologocial damage or death.
