    New Buddy - Oz
He's a blue crowned conure. I rescued him on monday and we're working on his trust issues. He's more or less cage bound but he's starting to understand i'm not going to hurt him and i have lots of great things for him to eat. He doesn't say anything in english yet, but i've been repeating a few things for him in case he's interested in learning.

    Anyway, pics:

(he looks scruffy cause he's a former feather plucker - he's over it though and his plumage is coming back in nicely - he's currently flighted)

buy earplugs, those little buggers can be very noisy. We have a black mask.

I love conures... then again, the only one i've ever had contact with was the evil sun conure we have at work... but I don't think he's mean, he just has... personality ;)

Congrats! I'm glad he broke the feather plucking. My stepmother had a bird that plucked all the time. The only place he had perfect feathers was on his head. She took him to the vet once and basically they could collar him so that he couldn't pluck, but as soon as the collar would come off he'd start plucking again. So we just did our best to keep his cage warmer. My dad held him once and said he felt like a warm rubber chicken.
