    Fostering baby ASFs
A friend let me have some ASF's to feed to my non-eating hatchlings. Out of 3, two ate, so I had one ASF left over with it's eyes just opened. I decided to see if my best mother rat would foster it as she currently had a litter roughly around the same age/size. So far it has been a week and the little guy is doing great. Momma Rat lets it nurse and takes care of it as if it was her own. Has anyone else had experiences with this?

No, but that is very cool! I think I read somewhere, Gib said to foster them to our domestic rats to make the ASF's nicer. I wonder if it actually works? :P

You know, that's what I thought about, too. I was going to feed him off next week, but I think I may grow him up and see how he turns out. I'll have to get pics of him nursing.
