Put your face back together!! (slightly graphic)
BOY did this suck! This was a feeding day a few weeks back that nearly gave me an aneurysm. I put Eden in her little feeding container and gave her the first rat fuzzy, made sure she snapped it up (which she did almost before I got my hand outta the way), then let her be since she gets stagefright when I watch.

A couple mins later, I look in on her, and I noticed what looked like a lot of red.. The way she constricted made her face smash up against her body while she had a bite on the rat baby, thus folding the top left half of her.. lip? Is that right? lol.. well yeah, her top lip was folded OVER to the other side of her head. I was scared to death and tried to get her to release the pressure off her face, but she wouldn't have that.. soo I started to get ready to go to the vet because I'd never seen this before! There was no blood, but you gotta figure that a half folded over face ain't quite right...

But by the time I went to get her, she had fixed herself, apparently.. and what I saw was this:

Then she ate while I stared in terror.. then she yawned.. and looked perfectly normal. I still took her to the vet, and she turned out to be fine. Just made my heart stop!

    Thanks for reading :P

You must have been freekin'! I'm so glad to hear that she put herself back together. Their faces really are amazing. Heck, everything about them is amazing. One of the things I find especially fascinating is how their necks are so tiny, yet they can stretch to swallow such huge meals... comparitavely speaking, of course.

    Good on you... and her!
