What do you feed?

Just wanna know what you all feed, let me know if we need other options.

The poll types are pretty general, so if you know, let me know what brand/nutritional info, especially for lab blocks.

I feed dog food to them.

Currently ours are on a mainstay of dog food, mixed in with whole oats, and scattered every 3 days or so with black oil sunflower seeds. I also have a mix of dried fruit/nuts/seeds/cereals/etc that they get every other day along with their food. We (the people) eat a lot of raw vegetables and fruits as well so they get a lot of the "not quite people quality but the ratties sure love them" scraps.

Main diet:
Mazuri Lab block
Science Diet senior dog food
Black oil sunflower seeds
whole oats
non-salted shelled peanuts

Add ins/treats:
ZuPreem Avian maintenance small parrot
assorted sugarless cereals (cheerios, rasin bran...)
lentils, green split peas
Greenies dental treats
Grreat Choice brand biscuits
yogurt treats for rodents
pure fruit, meat, and veggie baby food
occasional fruits, veggies, and meat scraps

I only breed rats and use Mazuri 6f exclusively.

I don't breed enough mice to where its a major expense to buy mouse feed mix (seeds and such).

I only have two tubs.

Yes but the mouse seed mix is JUNK. It's is only filler and fat. Get some lab blocks or get some hog feed(non-medicated) and mix that with cheerios, Total, crispy rice, puffed wheat, puffed rice, dry tri-colored pasta, oatmeal, small amount of high quality senior dog food, and maybe some black oil sunflower seeds. That will be a much higher quality diet for the mice than that seed mix junk from the pet store.

Remember, your snakes are what they eat. If they are eating crap, they will reward you will crappy growth.
