4 Options... Help Me Out...
Alright so here's how it works. GM decided to send me a couple grand this morning for god knows what... so it's time to buy a thermostat...
Here's the options...
1. Helix
2. Herpstat
3. Johnson
4. Ranco
Just leave a number... I like the sounds of the herpstat but I don't mess with paypal so... give me the input. I wanna put the order in tomorrow so hopefully it'll be here by Monday.

we have helix and herpstat, like them both, herpstat has more bells, the beanfarm accepts credit cards and carries herpstat, and are very prompt.

Herpstat is awesome. You can pay with a credit card on the spyderobotics site, its weird though. It still shows a paypal receipt, but only charges the credit card you provide. I know it sounds strange, but I have done it twice. You could just call them as well. The ND model is the way to go IMO even if you do not plan to do a night temp drop. It has many other cool features that you don't get with the regular herpstat.
Re: 4 Options... Help Me Out...
I got the Herpstat Pro and it has been working great, plus it has 2 seperate probes you can use with it.
Re: 4 Options... Help Me Out...
Herpstat is my first choice, Helix the second :)
Re: 4 Options... Help Me Out...
I think I might go herpstat ND? Even though I don't really have plans on using the Night Drop
Re: 4 Options... Help Me Out...
Herpstat or Ranco.....I have had helix go bad before....
Re: 4 Options... Help Me Out...
My order of preference for a ball python enclosure is: Herpstat (prefer pro since it is 4 T-stats in one), Helix, Ranco, and not going to go there!
For my incubator I like the Ranco and the Ranco. I can use a couple rancos in different wiring configs to give me back up on back up. My incubator currently has 3 Rancos on it. One main running unit, one low temp unit, and one over temp unit.

Here are features the ND has over the regular...
- Backlit display
- Shows % of power output
- Will automatically change the power mode that best matches your enclosure.
- Has an internal clock w/alarm
- Easier to navigate menus.
- Can set high and low temp alarms.
- Night Drop capability of course (I use it for my GTP)
I think thats all. Worth the extra $ if you ask me.
