Bad shed, stuck shed.. bloody face!
Ok, so I knew one of my normal females were getting ready to shed and i left her alone.. today i opened her bin to find her newspaper bloodied and poor camerons face just raw! The shed came off nice and clean.. the color from her scales are still in the shed.. this hasnt happened before, it stinks!!! (not literally). Kinda neat battle wound looking though

The ridges of her bin im sure  Aside from her black hide and ceramic water bowl theres nothing else even in her bin.

My big male BP has a big scar on his face in that same place, its strange looking. I have no idea what its from or how he got it, and I don't think the previous owner knows either.. I haven't had any problems with it though.

My hog island boa was scratching her face against one of her hides and rubbed both sides of her jaw raw before I noticed it, after some neosporin and removing the hides they healed right up.

ouch.. thats a bad one!!!
Thanks for sharing that pic. I might just be removing her hide too.. no one else in the big female gets a rack besides her and everyone else does just fine hiding under newspaper
Re: Bad shed, stuck shed.. bloody face!
my bp just went thru a shed and has a small bloody spot on the bottom of her midpart. it looks like a scale came off. is that normal? there isn't anything sharp enough around her as i haven't found a hide that i like yet.

Re: Bad shed, stuck shed.. bloody face!
Hahaha, nice.
Just looking at the picture I have to say that is a pretty cool scar, old war wound to tell the buddies. A minute after seeing it, though, I felt really bad because of the pain it must have gone through. Poor baby *hugs and kisses* i always feel bad when animals are hurt.

My boyfriend's bp (the one I fostered and re-homed to him) has the same size and location scar on his forehead. I wonder if this is typical?
