For those that refuse to cut eggs....
How many clutches have you had and have you lost any snakes in the egg that could have been prevented by cutting? If so, how many? I'm trying to weigh the benefits of cutting vs not cutting to determine if I will or not. All comments welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well I haven't had a lot of clutches only about 3 or 4 a year for the past 5 years. I only slit my first clutch. They were at day 60 the eggs didn't look bad or anything. Just thought Id try it and learn how to do it. Just in case I had to do it. I haven't lost a baby yet. Oops I did have one egg go bad the first clutch about a week in. Then I have only had one slug that was in the clutch I'm waiting to hatch now. Its at day 52 I think I'm going to wait until day 55 and see how they look. If one pips before that then I will cut the others. Maybe

The rest of the clutches I have had. I have not slit any of them. They all hatched out fine.
