    Quick Question
Is it OK for the male to be larger than the female when breeding?

I know it's pretty common to breed a larger female to a smaller male.

1500 grams is the widely accepted weight for a female to breed. If your male is bigger than that, go for it! That must be a huge male.

I've seen some BIG males. I saw one at a reptile show easily topping 3,000 grams. I don't see why it will be an issue. :gj:

Wow! Should be no problems as long as the female is up to size.

OK, I was concerned there might be a problem with mating him to a female almost half his size.

    2900 grams! :O

And here we thought our 1600 gram boy was big. Fortunately we got him as he is the only one doing anything this year. Generally speaking he locks 6-12 hours after being put with a girl. All our other males refuse to even look interested. About the most interest they get is when the big girls lay on top of them and squish em!
