    Awesome animals....so majestic and proud!
    When I lived in the Berkshires, we had them in our yard every once in awhile. Always knew when they were around because the dogs would try to head butt the doggie door :D

    This was in May, Alice. The males are just now starting to regrow their dropped antlers and they are shedding their winter coats. During the early Spring, they come out in the mornings and evenings to eat alongside the roadway, where any salts may have accumulated.

    Great pix! What part of Maine? My parents used to live waaaay up north and we'd go out at night to watch moose along the powerlines. You could see like a dozen in a night! Not so many down near where I live now. :)
