    Bugs In My ZooMed Bedding
So i have a juvenile brazilian rainbow boa. ive had him for about 4 months or so now and since i got him, i have been using ZooMed's Forrest Floor bedding along with Flukers Green Moss to keep it nice and humid in his tank.

About 3 weeks ago, i noticed all these small white bugs moving around in the tank, there were a whole lot of them. so i quickly removed my rainbow, and cleaned out the tank with some antibacterial soap and a little bit of mite treatment. i took all the decorations rocks, etc. out and soaked them in hot soapy water with a little bit of bleach. then i replaced everything, and put back in all rocks and water dish and stuff, and then a couple days ago i noticed that they were back.

I talked to the reptile store that sold me the bedding and asked them about the bugs, what they told me was that these bugs were called "Wood Lice" and they were not harmful to my snake. and apparently the combination of warm temps and the humidity stir these little guys up. they offered that i try eco earth bedding instead.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this with ZooMed bedding, or any other type of bedding. this is the first time ive ever run into this problem. Any comments/advice is appreciated. :snake:

We use Cypress for the BRB here, and bake it before putting in the cage. About 1/2 hour to 45 minutes on 350, kills anything that may be in there. Just fill up a few Pyrex bakeware bowls and pop 'em in the oven. It's messy but smells good :)
