Good job bring this up! :gj: I never saw this post.
Re: I need some help here!
Without seeing any discharge or obvious source of infection, I'd recommend going to the vet as soon as you are able.
Is it possible for you to post a picture?
Re: I need some help here!
If the lump is hard that is a sign of infection. Puss becomes hard in BP's unlike human puss. If it is soft and kinda disapears when you touch it or press on it then it most likely isnt infected but could be some kind of wound or scar tissue.
Of course a vet visit is the best recomendation but this can give some kind of reference.
I learned this from Dr. Stahl a very respected reptile vet. I had a snake with a lump that turned out to be soft, not infected, and was a scaring from a wound possibly from swallowing a rodent that still was alive.
Hope this help out.

Re: I need some help here!
Thanks so much you guys, for all your help! I'm going to try to get her in at the vet tomorrow just 2 be on the safe side. I worried all night about her and I hate 2 think of her enduring in pain because of me. But anyway thanks again!
Re: I need some help here!
Did you take her to the vet? What did he say? Please an update! Hope your girl is doing okay!
Re: I need some help here!
Ok...update on sweet Bella~We took her to the vet. He said it was indeed mouth rot, and gave her a shot of antibiotics, and sent her home with another 5 syringes to be administered every 48 hours, and said to get rid of the reptile bark we were using and go to plain ole newspaper. He said the reptile bark, while itself was not harmful, retains too much moisture (like when she spills her water, among other things) and it is a prime breeding ground for mites. He said not to even try to offer her food for at least two weeks, her mouth would be too sore, but that the infection should be cleared up for the most part in about a week or so. He said to soak her in lukewarm water for about 20 mins a day, and keep her away from the other babies until further notice. Whew!!! I think thats all, i can't remember anything else he said at the moment. Thank you guys so much for your advice, and I'll keep you posted on her recovery.
