I would love to have a drysuit, but for now it's a 7mm wetsuit and A LOT of hot coffee when we surface.

Awesome pictures, Kat!! I live in Monterey (well nearby, anyway) and have yet to dive here. The water is just soooo cold. Your pictures really make me want to get wet, though!

It seems that everyone is done for the summer - except me. I teach at two of our local community colleges. Next week is finally the last week of classes and finals are the first week of June. At least we're doing mostly field trips now. Today, we'll be looking at the communities that live on the floating docks in Santa Cruz harbor and tomorrow is the Aquarium. :)

Hey Nancy!! Anytime you get the urge, you're welcome to join us!! We're all biologists, so the nerd factor is pretty high, but we manage to be complete goofs at the same time, so it balances out.

We're diving whalers cove at pt lobos next week once the storm surge goes through, most of the time we dive cannery and various carmel points (dependent on the conditions, of course).

    Cheers,
    Kat

Very cool! I've gone snorkeling in the Indian Ocean several times (no need to scuba there since the reefs are in such shallow water) and that was a blast!

That is so awsome! As much as I would love to- and have always wanted to scubba dive, I couldent do it. I'm kinda terrified of the ocean. I'm not afraid ofmany thatings- but that is one of them.. I like sharks- but I never want to be where they are!
