Re: A "no good" food story
ewwww...
I have 3, one didn't happen to me though.
First story
My husband and I took the kids to McDonalds. Got home with our food, my husband always checks our kids food before he gives it to them.
The chicken nuggets weren't even pre cooked. These were RED, and I mean like blood red in the middle. NASTY. We made pizza at home that night.
2nd. We go out to a (what we thought) nice mexican restaurant. We eat, my son got a cheese quesadilla (SP?). He got the ROTA virus and almost died. Long story short, someone didn't wash their hands before handling our food. My 13 month old son got so sick and dehydrated and was in the hospital for 3 days on IV's. He was so dehydrated they alsmost had to drill the IV into bone.
There were other reports of people getting sick after eating there too.
3rd story.
My sister in law went to Carls Jr. Ordered a chicken sandwich, took two bites, and ended up with a feather in her mouth.
The worst part is, their friend gave them free food, so they really couldn't go in and complain, without getting their friend fired.
Re: A "no good" food story
Years ago I found an end of a cornrow/dreadlock under the cheese in a hungry howies pizza
Re: A "no good" food story
i dont eat fast food period. firstly because i think it taste like crap. second its bad for you. and thirdly the majority of people who work at fast food joints dont really care about the food they produce, how many times a day do you think they wash thier hands????
Re: A "no good" food story
This is why small family run shops are the best places to eat. Polish or Italian deli's are my fav.

Holy cow I can't even imagine something like that! My condolences on that whole ordeal with your son... I would've been so mad.

Thanks:) Everything turned out fine Thank God! I wouldn't wish that virus on anyone!
Re: A "no good" food story
A ciggy butt in my salad at a local Denny's ....grossed out just thinking about it
Thing is...I would ONLY get a salad BECAUSE it was Denny's
Re: A "no good" food story
Oh that is nasty! I feel had for you. My sister once bit into a generic Twinkie cake, only to find half of a dead, very large, cockroach inside! (and no, we did not have roaches in-house.) Yuckies! I would demand compensation for this kind of thing. Tell the manager or something; you don't deserve to be subject to something like that!
