New pets! Goats (chicken pics too)
I'm so excited! Today I picked up two mini goats for a steal. A milking doe and a young wether (not her own kid.) The doe is also very likely bred.

I spent some time with them today, and they're getting to know me! I also milked the doe, I'm going to have to build a little table or something, cause boy she is low to the ground!

    :P

Please ignore my messy weed covered pen!
    Hope, the doe:

    Uno, the wether:

    Both:

And pictures of my chickens, again, don't mind the mess! This is just the nighttime pen, they have a large grassy area to freeroam during the day.

Just make sure that your milking the doe. You wouldn't want to get under the wether.

    HAR HAR HAR.

-lol- That was cute, though, have to admit.

What kind of chickens are the red ones? I want to get two hens later on down the road so that I can have fresh eggs in the mornings. Those two of yours are beautiful.

I swear that one red chicken is posing for the camera! How funny!

I love goats - big ones, little ones, nice ones, means ones. I just love goats! I also really like donkeys. My husband says that liking goats and donkeys considering their contrary ways says something about me.

Don't forget tons of pics when the baby comes please.

Under the wether! :P Too cute!

The red chickens are Rhode Island Reds; they're not fully feathered yet, I think they're almost 8 weeks old, so they'll get even prettier I hope! They are awesome dual-purpose birds, for meat and eggs. No eggs just yet from mine, but soon I hope!

I palpated the doe a little after milking her, and its a possibility she's carrying. I sure hope so! The lady I bought her from said she's an awesome mom, so I can't wait. Possibly august for a due date. I'll be certain to take tons of pictures! :)

Love the baby chicks! They're too cute. :aww:

Congrats on the new goats as well. I love Uno's markings. I hope they both settle in well.

Awesome! I love goats too.. I really want to get some eventually. My friend has a herd that plays "king of the hill" with a pile of hay.. it is hysterical to watch and better than most TV shows.
I like your RI reds too. I have a RI rooster!

I remember seeing your RIR roo in a previous post, he's gorgeous! :)

Just a couple more pictures I managed to get today:

Uno is still a little shy, but today while I was milking Hope, he came up and nibbled on my shirt, so we're making progress! I love the milk too, you would never know the difference between it and regular whole milk. If anyone tells you goat milk tastes bad, they're liars! :D
