New BP

I just recently got my first snake Zeke a baby ball python to help me get over my fear of snakes. I am a little worried i got him from a pet store and i have been told that you are not supposed to be able to see them breath through their skin is this true? Also he is about 20 inches long and only weighs 79 grams is this supposed to be right?

Pictures would help greatly. I can see my snakes, and every other snake I've looked at breathing if I spend a couple of seconds paying attention so not sure how accurate a measurement that would be

im not sure if i understand, but, fwiw, you CAN see snakes breath...and by thatn i mean that you can see their bodies expand and collapse (lungs filling and releasing air)...this is really apparent when feeding or opening there cage to pick them out...


as far as the weight and size, it really all depends on how often they are eating/food offered to them...i would say the snake could put on some weight
