Could you have spooked her? if you move too fast and reach in for that bowl of water and startle her, that might make her strike.

No scale?!
Re: Mean After Eating = (~
Oooops! Well, I guess I will suggest putting this on your wish list! :D
Kitchen stores have them, office supply stores have them and I got mine from RBI: http://www.reptilebasics.com/My-Weig...l-p-16191.html
It's great to have one of these so you can track their weight and weigh their food when needed.
What size prey are you feeding now and are they mice or rats? Did you get the snakes as babies? Do you know about how old they are? Maybe a picture with something else in the frame as a size reference would be helpful ;)
Re: Mean After Eating = (~
Well, you should wait at least 48 hours after feeding to handle them. But from the sounds of your post, you don't mean "pick them up and handle them" so much as you mean just doing cage maintenance type stuff. That should be ok.
It does sound like these snakes are brand new to your collection. I'd say the "aggression" is probably not that at all, but just a lack of security caused by the new surroundings. Give them more time to settle in and they will probably be fine.
Of course, snakes are still wild animals that can have unexpected reactions at times. One hiss and strike does not a mean snake make.

Hey Casey~ Great pick up! I didn't even notice the bottom part where the OP asks if the snakes are just 'jerk'
To the OP: People are jerks; snakes just.... are. You did something that caused the reaction in the snake. Check out your behavior and then their response. The more attention you pay on how your snakes are being, the better you will be able to interact in their world ;)
