    Which is better?
    I bought this 2 dog food brands, I want to know wich is better for ratties. I'll list they're nutri facts and u tell me plz:

    Food #1:
    Moisture: 9% max.
    Crude Protein: 18% min.
    Fat: 5% min.
    Crude Fiber: 4% max.
    Digestable Energy: 2900 kcal.kg
    Calcium:1.5% min. - 2.5% max.
    Phosphorous: 0.5% in.
    Salt(NaCl): 0.3% min - 0.4% max.

    Food #2:
    Moisture: 10% max.
    Crude Protein: 12% min.
    Fat: 6% min.
    Crude Fiber: 4% max.
    Digestable Energy: 3200 kcal.kg
    Calcium:1.00% min. - 1.20% max.
    Phosphorous: 0.55% in.
    Salt(NaCl): 0.75% min - 1.00% max.

    Depends on the dog food. If it's a crap brand, then neither. If it's a good brand like Wellness Senior, then go with the 18%.

    It would be MUCH better to find a feed store that sells Purina products and have them order you a bag of Lab Blocks. Mazuri is a good brand to use.

    I only use about 4lbs of Wellness Senior in my 50+ lbs of food mix that I make. It makes up a very small percentage. They shouldn't be eating only dog food.

    cant get rat food in this country... and it's crap food, we dont get wellness over here, pedigree is considered a gr8 brand in Costa Rica... but im not feeding my rats that s|-|it...

    Have you read the Sticky I wrote? You can use mostly people food; puffed and crispy rice, brown rice, cheerios, different cereals(unsweetened), dry pasta, slow-cooking oatmeal, and just add "some" dog food to it. At least the people food is inexpensive.

    yeah read it, but got a bit of trouble translating it to spanish, cuz ingredients dont seem to be literally translatable lol, I found none of the strange named ones at the supermarket
