    shedding q's.
hey everyone, ive had my first bp for one week now. this morning i went to check his temps and everything.

come to find out, he started shedding. the humidity is 60% and the shed seems to be going okay. its not coming off in one piece or in 5 pieces for that matter but i was watching him rub up against the log and it seems to be coming off ok.

anyways, my question is.... if he gets done shedding in a couple hours can i try to feed him tonight or wait a day?

how long should i wait if his shed doesnt come off to step in and try to help with it?

    thanks,

    ethan

Hi Ethan, I always offer my snakes food on feeding day whether they are in the shedding process or not. If they choose to refuse that's fine, so long as I have offered!
With a 60% humidity your snake ought to shed out fine unless the humidity was off in the place you got him from. In that case, this shed might not be the greatest but the next one will be!
Please read this sticky on the shedding process and issues and solutions with incomplete sheds: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=43403
    Congrats on the first shed!!
