What I know about him is in this thread:

    http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...ight=escalante

I'll summarize for you, but suggest you take the time to read it and form your own opinion.

Mr. Escalante sent a snake to a customer via UPS. The customer claims that he never received the package, and Mr. Escalante couldn't prove otherwise as he chose not to require a signature upon delivery.

At this point I felt bad for the guy; until a few posts later when he not only admitted to knowing it was against UPS TOS to ship the snake, but then went on to disclose that he filed a false claim with UPS stating that the package contained computer parts in order to try and recoup his losses. :tears:

He may have great snakes, but his lack of ethics placed him on my "do not do business with" list...

From what I can see, he shipped the snake he was supposed to, just with the wrong shipper and against its rules. Other than that though it doesn't seem like he ripped the buyer off. If I did business from him I would MAKE SURE that he is shipping certified with fedex/ delta and that you have to sign for the package

The bigger issue, in my opinion, is that he lied about what he shipped in an attempt to make UPS pay for his loss. That is stealing; if he would be dishonest and willing to commit fraud in that case, what's to say he wouldn't do it again under different circumstances?

I agree 100%, he dug his hole even deeper by doing so.
