AP Economy Plastics Racks - Pics Please

I am thinking of picking up one of these instead of the regular AP racks but want to find out how hard it is to keep warm and hopefully see what it looks like set up and in use.
If you have this rack, please post a pic of it.
Also, I am thinking of getting it with the 4 inch flexwatt belly heat option instead of the heat cable. If you have the heat tape instead of the cable, let me know how that works.

I just ordered two. As soon as I get them i'll post a picture. If I like them I plan on getting more. I got mine with 4" flexwatt heating. I called and talked to Amy and she said the 4" flexwatt provided a better gradient for cooler rooms. They were extremely helpful and pleasant.

I did a lot of research and it was a no-brainer. 1/2" Plastic, 6-32 or 12-16 quart tubs with heat installed and shipped for $225.

The economy plastics also come in larger adult ball sizes and hatchling racks.

I just ordered two of the 1754(6) that are 10 tubs high. Its not on their website, but they make one 10 tubs high. I've had it almost a month now. I can't comment on it holding heat, when my rack was done, they were back ordered on heat cable, but it was warm enough here in the season, that I turn off the heat for the corns, so had them go a head and ship it sans heat cable.

The heat cable should be here tomorrow, but I won't use it for another 6 months. Sorry I can't give you more information about the heating of them. I think they should be ok heat wise though, it would be VERY easy to cut a piece of foam insulation to fill the gaps on the side and back if you needed to - could even paint it black to match the rack.

I was skeptical of their sturdiness, but saw them in person at the NARBC show and they seemed just as sturdy as their normal ones; that's what sold me. Though I do have to say that mine don't seem as sturdy as I remember them (and yes I assembled them correctly).

Overall I'm quite happy with them. I plan on ordering another in the next year for hatchling-subadult ball pythons (and adult males), and then replacing the rack on the right in the pictures with the 1961 economy rack as well. How much was and how tall is the 10 slot econo rack?

Wow... I really like those! Are those 6qt on the top? Also, what size are the larger tubs?

The smaller ones are 15qt and the larger are 32 qt.

Gotcha! Even better! :gj: I have AP racks that I love, iris 700, 900, and the 1762 that I use for a 6qt baby rack and I really like all 3 models... If the Economy are anything like the others, they ROCK!

I have a couple of them and Loooooove them for babies/juvies. No problem on the heating, but then again, I live in Cali.

$300 + 65 shipping. All of their economy racks are $30 per shelf (the 6 tub ones are $180, etc). I love making my own, but when I needed more, I wanted to use my design with Sintra. But I couldn't get a decent quote for it from anywhere on it. Had I made my own, I would have only saved maybe $50 with the prices I was being offered for supplies. So I figured $50 was worth it to me.

And they're ~6 ft tall. I'm 6'1" and am right about even with them.

Thank you for the reply. $30 a shelf isn't bad, I think I'm going to have to order one of these 10 slot ones. I've got a number of BPs coming within the next 4 weeks and I plan on taking one of the old racks and putting it in the back room for a 90 day quarantine of the group.
