My yard sale still needs your help, pls

Hi again!
I posted a few weeks ago about a baby bp that I found at a yard sale. I was concerned about his bad shed and his retained eye caps.
The majority of the advice given said to wait until his next shed and he should be fine. Well, he did shed in one good piece except for his head, of course.
It looks like he managed to get one of his eye caps off, the skin on his head just looks very dry like it has no intention of coming off, and the other eye looks black!? Any suggestions?
One more thing, he is looking great other than this. He has filled out, looks brighter, and I can tell he feels better. So much better in fact he seems to be a bit standoffish.
When I fed him last, 1/3 of his body came out of his hide off the tank bottom and into the s position. Do you think I'm just over reacting? Maybe he needs more handeling to get use to us?

I have 4 ball pythons and they hunt from their hides and in most cases don't expose their whole bodies at feeding time. My Spider female tends to pull the f/t rat right into the hide and the 2 males and other female tend to expose just enough of themselves to constrict and eat and then go right into the warm hide afterward.

My female will get in a S and strike a good foot out from her tub. She never waits to be served!! I wait till i have a good grip on the tongs before opening her tub. She strikes her rats hard.

His home is a tank but I feed them in a tub. Do you think he just knew it was feeding time?
What's a good amount of time to handle him every day to start? I have not handled him other than baths and moving to the feeding tub because he wasn't feeling good. He hasn't even hissed or tried to strike at me.

You'll want to get that shed off if it's encircling his head or building up multiple eyecaps. This thread should be of great help to you...

Another trick is to place the snake in a damp small pillowcase. Knot the pillowcase well so the snake can't get out. Place the pillowcased snake back in it's home so it can stay warm and safe. Leave for a bit and usually when they wiggle around in that damp pillowcase they push the old shed right off.
